Kim Jong Il Greets Chinese Party and State Leaders

Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il together with Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, and Pak Pong Ju, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, Saturday sent a message of greetings to Hu Jintao, General-Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission of the PRC, Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, and Wen Jiabao, premier of the State Council, on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the PRC. The message said:
The foundation of the PRC was the achievement gained by the Chinese people through their protracted, arduous struggle and a historic event which opened the way of creating a new life in China.
The Chinese party, government and people are now achieving great successes in their efforts to build a comprehensively well-off society and realize the reunification of the whole country.
The Korean people are rejoiced over all the achievements made by the Chinese people and wish them greater successes in the future.
It is the consistent stand of our Party and the DPRK government to boost the Korea-China relations of friendship and cooperation.
Availing ourselves of this opportunity, we wish the PRC prosperity and your people happiness, expressing the belief that the Korea-China friendship will be strengthened and developed by the joint efforts of the parties, the governments and the peoples of the two countries.
