Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Observed

   Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today dedicates a signed article to the 19th anniversary of the publication of Kim Jong Il's historic work that fell on Sept. 25, which calls for dynamically advancing along the road of socialism under the uplifted banner of the struggle against imperialism. Kim Jong Il in the work underscored the need for revolutionaries to correctly judge the prevailing situation of the revolution, firmly maintain the revolutionary stand and invariably advance along the road of socialism. Clarified in the work are immortal ideological and theoretical guidelines to be consistently held fast to by the people in the DPRK and the revolutionary peoples in the world, including the issue of intensifying the struggle against imperialism with a correct understanding of the true nature and fate of modern imperialism and the issue of bolstering the driving force of the revolution as required by the developing reality.

    Kim Jong Il's work serves as a powerful ideological and theoretical weapon for the people of the DPRK and the revolutionary peoples in the world in the struggle to decisively smash the imperialists' moves against socialism and victoriously push forward the popular masses' cause of independence, the socialist cause.
    The army and people of the DPRK have won a great victory in the anti-imperialist struggle to safeguard socialism, brought about signal changes and performed shining feats in the building of a great prosperous powerful country over the last more than decade under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.
    It is a historic miracle that they have brought about a dawn in the building of a great prosperous powerful nation, demonstrating the invincibility of socialism despite the extremely provocative anti-DPRK moves of the U.S. imperialists and manifold ordeals during the "Arduous March," the forced march. The reality clearly proves the ideological and theoretical wisdom and wise leadership of Kim Jong Il as he set forth correct strategies and tactics as required by the times and the revolutionary development and led to a brilliant victory the anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle of the army and people of the DPRK to accomplish the cause of socialism.
