Kim Jong Il Inspects KPA Unit

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspected KPA Unit 1824. He congratulated the servicepersons of the unit on celebrating the DPRK's birthday with signal success in their combat and political training.
He learned about the unit's performance of duty before watching its servicepersons' training.
After watching the training he set forth important tasks which would serve as guidelines for bolstering the KPA as invincible revolutionary armed forces, expressing great satisfaction over the fact that all the servicepersons have grown to be a match-for-a hundred fighters.
The hearts of all the servicepersons of the KPA are replete with the ardent love for the party, the leader, the country and the people and burning with towering hatred for the enemy, he said, adding that the country will imposingly stand as an invulnerable bulwark of socialism and our Juche-oriented revolution will win one victory after another it has such matchless ranks of fighters fully prepared politically and ideologically and in military technique.
He took deep care of the service and living of the soldiers, going round different places of the unit.
He was greatly satisfied to see all the entertainment, educational and supply service facilities arranged well and the compound of the barracks and their surroundings kept neat and tidy. Noting that the servicepersons of the unit have distinguished themselves in its management by following the lifestyle of the anti-Japanese guerillas, he highly appreciated their assiduous way of managing the economic life.
He gave the servicepersons of the unit a pair of binoculars and an automatic rifle as gifts before having a photo session with them.
He was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and Ri Yong Chol and Ri Jae Il, first vice department directors of the C.C., the WPK.
