Homage Paid to Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Senior officials of the party, the army and the state and people from all walks of life visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace on Sept. 9 to pay homage to President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the DPRK. Senior officials of the Workers' Party of Korea, the army and the state, chairpersons of the friendly parties, Cabinet members, deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly in Pyongyang, leading officials of the party and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions entered the hall where the statue of the President stands.
Amid the solemn playing of "Song of General Kim Il Sung", a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the DPRK National Defence Commission, the Presidium of the DPRK SPA and the DPRK Cabinet was laid before the statue.
Written on the ribbons of the floral basket were letters "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung Is Immortal".
Senior officials of the Party, the army and the state paid their respects to the statue of the President.
They entered in humble reverence the hall where the President lies in state. They made vows to him.
Then they walked round orders, medals, certificates of honorary titles awarded to the President in our country and from different countries, the portrait of the smiling President and bronze relievos in the Mourning Hall, a train coach he used during his on-the-spot guidance and visits to foreign countries and a car he used in the last moments of his life.
Anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, officials of organs at all levels and people from all walks of life visited the memorial palace.
Meanwhile, the diplomatic corps and the military attaches corps here and overseas Koreans including a congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan for the celebration of the 58th anniversary of the DPRK headed by Ko Tok U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, visited the palace to pay homage to the President.
