Message of Greetings from Cuban Leader

Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, received a message of greetings from Raul Castro Ruz, second secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, first vice-president of the Council of State and first vice-president of the Council of Ministers, on Sept. 8 on the occasion of the 58th birthday of the DPRK. The message said:
It gives me particular pleasure to send warmest congratulations to the fraternal WPK, government and people of the DPRK on behalf of the Cuban party, government and people on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK.
I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate our unequivocal support to the Korean people in their just struggle to defend the sovereignty of the country and achieve the peaceful reunification of the Korean nation and reaffirm our firm will to steadily boost the fraternal bonds, solidarity and cooperation between the parties, governments and people of the two countries.
Please accept my best wishes for the heroic Korean people's prosperity and welfare as well as successes in your work and happiness.
