Greetings to Kim Jong Il, Kim Yong Nam and Pak Pong Ju from Chinese Party and State Leaders

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, and Pak Pong Ju, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, received a message of greetings from Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, president of the People's Republic of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, and Wen Jiabao, premier of the State Council of China, on September 8 on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the DPRK. The message said:
We extend sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to the Workers' Party, the government and the people of Korea on behalf of the Communist Party, the government and the people of China on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the DPRK.
The foundation of the DPRK opened a new chapter for the Korean people to build a state as masters of the country.
The Korean people steadily propelled the development of the economic community and foreign relations in the spirit of self-reliance and fortitude under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and the Workers' Party of Korea.
We sincerely wish the Korean people steady, fresh and greater success in accomplishing the cause of building a great prosperous powerful nation.
China and the DPRK are friendly neighboring countries linked by mountain and rivers.
Sino-Korean friendship overcame the trials of history as it was provided and developed by the elder revolutionaries of the two countries.
In the new period and under the new situation the Chinese side hopes for bringing greater happiness to the two countries and the two peoples by steadily advancing the long-standing Sino-Korean friendly and cooperative relations together with the Korean side in the spirit of "inheriting tradition, facing the future, continuing good neighborliness and enhancing cooperation".
