Kim Jong Il's Feats for Development of Juche Philosophy Hailed

   Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Wednesday dedicates a signed article to the 10th anniversary of historic work of Kim Jong Il "The Juche Philosophy Is an Original Revolutionary Philosophy". In the work published on July 26, Juche 85 (1996) Kim Jong Il scientifically analyzed the limitations of the preceding theories and the uniqueness of the Juche philosophy and clarified that the Juche philosophy serves as the revolutionary, political philosophy of the Workers' Party of Korea.
    What is important in the feats he performed in glorifying the Juche philosophy as the revolutionary, political philosophy of the Party is that he scientifically proved the originality of the Juche philosophy and enriched the treasure house of the Juche idea with his rare ideological and theoretical wisdom and led the popular masses to carry out all work with the Juche philosophy as a powerful weapon for revolutionary practices, the article notes, and goes on:
    He in the work clarified that the originality of the Juche philosophy lies in that it was evolved and systematized by its peculiar principles and clearly proved that the Juche philosophy is fundamentally different from the preceding philosophies because its tasks and theories were evolved with man as a centre. He also proved that the Juche philosophy and the preceding philosophies are fundamentally different because they are based on different understanding of human being and that the Juche philosophy verifies the intrinsic nature of man that man is a social being with independence, creativity and consciousness and defines them as social attributes that take shape and develop in the social and historical process in which man establishes social relations with each other and conducts activities, which is a perfect elucidation of the originality of the Juche philosophy.
    He scientifically clarified that unlike the preceding philosophies that established materialistic conception of history by applying the general law governing development of the material world to social history, the Juche philosophy expounded the law peculiar to social movement with the popular masses as a driving force so that it has brought about a fundamental change in the viewpoint of social history.
    In the work Kim Jong Il made it clear that the Juche philosophy serves the purpose of revolutionary practices and elucidates the philosophical foundation of the Juche idea, the guiding idea of the Party, and the fundamental principle of the revolution.
    The work helped enrich the Juche philosophy with new propositions and perfectly proved its originality and advantages and provided methodological guidelines to develop the Juche philosophy into the revolutionary philosophy of the present era.
