Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- All the efforts are being mobilized and concentrated on rice-transplantation this year again in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The entire people, in hearty response to the call of the Workers' Party of Korea, are all out in rice-transplantation with revolutionary optimism and resolution to reap a bumper harvest.
The agricultural working people, with a high degree of responsibility for taking in charge of the granary of the country, are doing their bit to support the Party and socialism with increased agricultural production in the Songun era.
The Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea has set up guidance offices for socialist emulation in the affiliated national, city and county organizations and organized groups for promoting and judging the emulation in the co-op farms in order to inspire the agricultural working people to rice-transplantation.
Servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, the driving force of the Songun revolution, are also taking the lead in the rice-seedling transplantation, too. They are doing the labor-consuming farm work in the fighting spirit of the revolutionary army in order to successfully carry out rice-transplantation governing the year's farming in time. They are also harrowing fields and pulling rice-seedlings from early morning.
Meanwhile, officials in the ministries and national institutions including the Ministry of Land and Marine Transport, Ministry of City Management, Agency of Service for Overseas Compatriots and Central Bank stand in the van of the material and labor support to rural communities. Among the helpers are those from institutions of all levels, industrial establishments and neighborhood units.
Artistes from Pyongyang and local areas and health workers are also conducting art propaganda and medical service activities on the spot, encouraging agricultural working people and helpers in rice-transplantation.
Extra passenger trains are made up every day for the ever-increasing helpers.
All the sectors of the national economy give top priority to the supply of manpower, equipment and materials needed for rice-transplantation.
