Kim Jong Il Inspects KPA Unit

   Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected KPA Unit 1891. He acquainted himself with the unit's performance of duty before dropping in at a meeting hall. He learned about how the political and ideological work is conducted at the unit, seeing the records of exploits showing the history of its development and diverse visual aids necessary for the revolutionary education and the class education.
    He praised the unit for having conducted effective political and ideological education including revolutionary education and class education, underscoring the need to pay primary attention to the ideological work at all times.
    Going round its supply service facilities, he expressed satisfaction for the fact that the unit is paying deep attention to the living of the soldiers.
    All the units of the KPA have brought about a signal turn in all aspects of thinking, morality and cultural life by learning from the fighting trait and lifestyle of the Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Army, he said, adding that this proud success is the precious fruition of the great revolutionary soldier spirit created by the army in the era of Songun.
    He had a photo session with servicepersons.
    He was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.
