   Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- The army and the people of the DPRK have laid the solid political, ideological and material foundations for building a great prosperous powerful nation, pulling through all ordeals of history, rallied close around leader Kim Jong Il over more than ten years. Rodong Sinmun says this in a signed article Friday. It goes on:
    Single-minded unity in which all the servicepersons and people are sharing destiny with the headquarters of the revolution to the last has been further consolidated, the defence capability of the country incomparably strengthened and the solid material foundation for building a rich and strong country laid. This is a most precious wealth for a new leap forward in the building of a great prosperous powerful nation. The achievements in socialist construction over the last 10-odd years are the victory of love and trust, the victory of loyalty and obligation achieved by the harmonious whole of the leader and the people.
    The indomitable revolutionary spirit which helps to triumphantly advance the socialist cause in any adversity has been created. This is a very precious asset. It is the true feature of the Korean people who have personified the revolutionary soldier spirit to give full play to the spirit of devotedly defending the headquarters of the revolution, the spirit of devotedly carrying through the line and policies of the Workers' Party of Korea and the heroic self-sacrificing spirit displayed by soldiers of the People's Army.
    The Party set forth the fighting tasks to make a new leap forward in socialist construction, proceeding from the conviction of the might of the revolutionary soldier spirit.
    The solid material asset for an economic surge has been laid. This is a precious success in building a great prosperous powerful nation.
    We have modern producers based on latest science and technology and the foundation with which to make anything we want. Solid is the pluck of the army and the people to make a great leap forward in building a great prosperous powerful nation on the basis of the solid economic potentials.
    The solid foundation laid in the building of a great prosperous powerful nation is an eternal one for national prosperity achieved by Kim Jong Il while pulling through grim ordeals and difficulties under the uplifted banner of Songun.
