Homage to Kim Il Sung on New Year

Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Senior cadres of the Party, the army and the state today visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace to pay homage to President Kim Il Sung on the New Year Juche 95 (2006). Kim Yong Nam, Jo Myong Rok, Pak Pong Ju and other officials, members of the Cabinet, leading officials of party, armed forces and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions entered into the hall where the statue of Kim Il Sung is standing. .
A floral basket was laid before the statue in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the National Defence Commission, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK. Written on the ribbon of the floral basket were letters reading "The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung is immortal." .
They entered into the hall where Kim Il Sung lies in state and made bows to him. .
They went round with deep emotion orders, medals and certificates of honorary titles awarded to Kim Il Sung in Korea and foreign countries, a portrait of the smiling President and bronze relievos in the mourning hall, the train he used during his on-the-spot guidance and visits to foreign countries and the car he used in the last period of his life. The palace was also visited by anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, officials of ministries and national institutions, officers and men of the People's Army and working people from all walks of life.
And the diplomatic corps and the military attaches' corps here and the secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea and his party visited the palace to pay homage to the President.
