Many Industrial Fine Art Works Created

    Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- A lot of the industrial fine art works have been created in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Choe Chi Ho, a section chief of the State Quality Control Bureau, told KCNA that more than 1,200 designs drawn by art studios, educational institutions and industrial establishments including the Industrial Fine Art Studio under the Ministry of Machine-Building Industries, Light Industrial Fine Art Studio under the Ministry of Light Industry, Mansudae Art Studio, Pyongyang University of Fine Arts and Pyongyang Cosmetic Factory were examined and registered this year. Over 500 pieces out of them have already been applied to production.
    All the designs are new and rich in their content and form.
    The Industrial Fine Art Studio under the Ministry of Machine-Building Industries advanced designs for "Huichon" A-type digital universal lathe and various kinds of machines, "June 15" electric locomotive, "Puhung" tram-car, "Rakwon" hydraulic excavator and "Phungnyon" combine. Their form and color are peculiar and varied.
    The Light Industrial Fine Art Studio under the Ministry of Light Industry produced designs for silk cloth and quilt cover gracefully decorated with different patterns and colors, designs for various kinds of vessel decorations and designs for many foodstuff trademarks. More than 60 brand designs for processed potato including potato starch noodle, frozen-potato noodle and fermented-potato vinegar have been introduced into production.
    The Mansudae Art Studio and Pyongyang University of Fine Arts have also produced designs for the exterior and interior of Pyongyang Conservatory, the reconstruction of the East Pyongyang Grand Theater, monument to the Youth Hero Motor-way, theaters and cultural halls and for various kinds of parks, fountains, fences and street decoration. They were all created to suit the modern aesthetics.
