DPRK Vice-Premier Meets His Chinese Counterpart

   Beijing, December 24 (KCNA) -- Vice-Premier Ro Tu Chol who is leading the DPRK government delegation on a visit to China met and had a friendly talk with his Chinese counterpart Zeng Peiyan, who is Politburo member of the C.C., Communist Party of China, at the Great Hall of the People here today. Zeng said that leader Kim Jong Il's China visit last year and President Hu Jintao's DPRK visit this year marked important occasions in developing the bilateral relations of friendship on a new higher stage.
    It is the steadfast stand of the Chinese party and government to consolidate and develop the Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations, he stated, adding that the steady and solid political relationship between the two sides provides a basis for smoothly developing the cooperation in economy and trade between the two countries.
    Ro also met and had a friendly talk with Tang Jiaxuan, state councilor of the People's Republic of China, in Beijing today.
    Tang noted that this year has witnessed steady development of the relations of good neighborliness and friendship between the PRC and the DPRK. He expressed the belief that the bilateral relations would surely bring about a bright future under the wise leadership of Hu Jintao and Kim Jong Il. Tang hosted a reception at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing in honor of the visiting DPRK government delegation in the evening.
