State Citations Awarded to Participants in Torchlight Procession

Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- A decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Peoples' Assembly of the DPRK on conferring state citations upon the participants in the torchlight procession held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea was promulgated on Wednesday. The decree said that the Presidium of the SPA of the DPRK awards "Kim Il Sung Youth Honour Prizes", orders and torchlight procession commemoration medals to 58,232 participants in the procession who successfully staged it on the highest level with the firm faith and will to steadfastly make the long journey of Songun revolution under the leadership of the great Party and thus fully demonstrated the might of the single-minded unity of the Party and the people around the headquarters of the revolution and the revolutionary enthusiasm of the young vanguard.
"Kim Il Sung Youth Honour Prize" went to 40 persons, National Flag Order First Class to 9 persons, Order of Labour to 20 persons, National Flag Order Second Class to 112, National Flag Order Third Class to 280 and Torchlight Procession Commemoration Medals to 57,771, it noted.
