    Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- A materials exchange market has been built in Unha-dong, Pothonggang District, Pyongyang, for the purpose of realizing joint sale with foreign countries. The market is controlled by the Korean Central Marketing and Trading Corporation, a state trade institution, under the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
    It, with an area of 280,000 square meters, has more than 10 warehouses (each covering over 400 square meters), open-air stores (each covering 4,000 square meters) and storehouses for various purposes.
    Various kinds of commodities brought in by more than 20 companies of China are now displayed and jointly sold in the market.
    The corporation has its branch companies and warehouses in major industrial areas, provincial seats, main ports such as Nampho, Songrim, Wonsan and Chongjin Ports and border railway stations.
    It promotes trade, joint venture, joint collaboration and investment with many countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, Americas, near and middle East and the rest of the world.
    Under the approval of the government, it provides preferred conditions to foreign companies which are doing investment, joint venture and collaboration, in joint operation, joint sale, financial circulation, services, etc.
    The corporation imports and sells machines and equipment, accessories and raw materials needed for local industrial establishments and farms and mass consumption goods and exports various kinds of exchanged goods to foreign countries.
