Kim Jong Il Provides Field Guidance to Shop of Machine Complex

Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA)- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, provided field guidance to the completed Sin Pho Hyang Cast Iron Shop of the Rakwon Machine Complex. The shop with a total floor space of 7,800 square meters is a modern shop where all production processes including sand blending, moulding, melting and desanding are computerized.
Going round production processes of the shop, he acquainted himself with its construction and production.
Watching the streamlined production processes equipped with ultra-modern technology, quality castings and the worksite kept neat and tidy, he expressed great satisfaction over the successful construction of the modern cast iron shop and highly praised the feats performed by the officials, workers and technicians of the complex.
He set forth tasks to be fulfilled by the shop, underscoring the need to keep upholding and glorifying the proud tradition of the complex in which it has taken the lead in defending the party and the leader in each period and at each stage of the revolution.
Steel casting, casting and forging and other basic production processes are important for modernizing the complex, he said, calling for steadily increasing the role of this modern shop.
He underlined the need to intensify the technological education of the technicians and workers in order to keep the casting going at a high rate and improve the quality of products.
He urged the officials of the complex and the shop to raise the level of guidance to production so as to minutely manage and operate the shop on the principle of profitability and thus perform its mission as a model shop in modernization.
Making the rounds of the youth school, barber's, a beauty salon, a bath house and other educational and supply service facilities built by the shop, he noted that it is very good that the shop has successfully built cultural and service facilities and put their operation on a normal footing. He called upon the officials to have a correct view on the workers and work hard to provide them with more affluent and highly civilized living conditions. He expressed the expectation and conviction that the workers of Rakwon proud of the tradition of self-reliance would creditably perform their role as vanguard in the general march of the Songun revolution, too.
