Rodong Sinmun on Songun Politics
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)
Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- Songun politics is patriotic politics to defend the security and interests of the country and the nation, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a signed article.
It continues:
The Workers' Party of Korea has pursued the Songun politics with its iron will to save the destiny of the country and the nation from the U.S. imperialists' unprecedented vicious and persistent moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK and defend Korean-style socialism.
The Songun politics is the most revolutionary politics that helps strengthen the people's army on the principle of attaching importance to the military affairs and placing them above all and push forward the cause of building a great prosperous powerful nation and independent reunification with the invincible army as the driving force of revolution. It also serves as the motive force of advancing the June 15era for reunification as it is the just and unique politics to meet the desire and interests of the nation and the requirement of the prevailing situation.
The Songun politics gives a powerful impetus to the implementation of the joint declaration while beefing up the driving force of national reunification in every way. It also propels the movement for national reunification to make a dynamic advance along the orbit of national reunification without slightest deviation.
The Songun politics also helps widen the road of national reconciliation and unity.
It is entirely thanks to the arms of Songun that the Koreans in the north and the south have widened the road of reconciliation and unity peacefully, not sustaining the disaster of a war even under the acute situation that tension is being escalated and the dark clouds of a new war are being brought by the imperialists, the article says, concluding that the prospect of the June 15 era for reunification is bright as long as there is theSongun politics.
