DPRK Cabinet Hosts Reception for Delegation of Korean Traders and Industrialists in Japan

    Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Cabinet hosted a reception at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Friday evening in honor of the delegation of Korean traders and industrialists in Japan on a visit to the socialist homeland to mark the 60th anniversary of the formation of the Federation of Korean Traders and Industrialists in Japan. Present on invitation was the delegation with Ryang Su Jong, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), as its adviser and Ri Pong Guk, chairman of the federation, as its head.
    Premier of the Cabinet Pak Pong Ju, Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade Ri Myong San, and officials concerned were present.
    Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet, in his speech said that the federation has reliably fulfilled its mission and duty in the organizational building and patriotic activities of Chongryon as a whole for the last 6 decades and made a tangible contribution to reunifying the country and building a great prosperous powerful nation.
    The people of the homeland will never forget the patriotic feats of traders and industrialists of Chongryon who devoted their all to the prosperity of the DPRK and the development of the Chongryon organization, sharing their fates with the socialist homeland, he noted, expressing the belief that the federation and Korean traders and industrialists in Japan will as ever open a new stage of the movement of Koreans in Japan and greatly contribute to the work for achieving reunification and prosperity of the country.
    Ri Pong Guk, chairman of the federation, in his speech said that the 60-year long history of the federation is the history of the wise guidance and love of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the proud history of patriotism for developing the socialist homeland and the movement of the Korean traders and industrialists in Japan.
    The President and Kim Jong Il highly appreciated the traders and industrialists who have done nothing special for the homeland and the nation and bestowed all honor and happiness upon them, he stressed, expressing his determination to work harder for the strengthening of Chongryon and the movement of Koreans in Japan and rally Korean traders and industrialists so as to make a positive contribution to the prosperity and development of the socialist homeland.
