12th Reunion of Separated Families and Relatives Ends

    Mt. Kumgang Resort, November 10 (KCNA) -- The 12th reunion of separated families and relatives that began at Mt. Kumgang Resort came to an end today. Separated families and relatives from the north side had reunions with their counterparts from the south side in the wake of the latter's reunion with the former from Nov. 5 to 7.
    They had a group reunion on Nov 8.
    The resort was prevalent with the joy and happiness and desire for reunification as they were able to reunite with each other only after the advent of the June 15 era of reunification since they were unable to hear from each other for more than half a century due to the national division caused by the outsiders.
    Separated families and relatives from the north side told their counterparts from the south side about the worthwhile life they have led under the man-centred benevolent socialist system.
    They called for frustrating the moves of the anti-reunification elements for confrontation and war despite the Koreans' ardent desire for reunification and waging a more dynamic struggle to check and foil the U.S. imperialists' war moves through the unity of the whole nation under the banner of "By our nation itself".
    The Central Committee of the DPRK Red Cross Society Thursday hosted a reception in honor of the separated families and relatives from the north and the south. On Nov. 9 families and relatives of the north side had family reunions with their kinsmen from the south side and talked to each other. While the reunion was under way, they enjoyed a combined acrobatic performance given by the circus of the north side.
    They bid farewell to each other on Thursday.
