Monuments to Revolutionary History of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il Erected

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- Monuments to the revolutionary history of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il were erected at the Pyongyang Footwear Machine Factory and the Tokchon General Food Factory, a monument to the revolutionary history of Kim Il Sung at Sonbong Greenhouse Farm in Rason City while monuments to the revolutionary history of Kim Jong Il at the Sinyang Wild Fruits Processing Factory, in Unhye-ri in Unchon County and at the Kanggye Chicken Farm. Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il visited the Pyongyang Footwear Machine Factory on Aug. 12, Juche 48 (1959) and instructed the officials to maintain equipment with good care, raise the utility rate, increase production and spruce up the factory.
They also gave on-site guidance to the Tokchon General Food Factory on May 4, Juche 59 (1970) and on Aug. 29, Juche 62 (1973) during which they instructed the officials to observe the rule of sanitation in food processing, modernize equipment and produce and supply more foodstuff to the people. Kim Il Sung visited the present Sonbong Greenhouse Farm on May 29, Juche 70 (1981) and told its members to increase the area of land under vegetables and their production to supply people with greater quantity of vegetables.
On Nov. 1 Juche 56 (1967) Kim Jong Il visited Sinyang County and indicated ways of collecting and processing more wild fruits and medicinal herbs, building minor power stations and improving the land protection and management. On Sept. 30, Juche 62 (1973) he visited Unhye-ri, Unchon County where he instructed the officials to apply more good quality manure to the fields, improve the soil conditions, boost the grain production, plant more trees in mountains and bring up children well.
He also visited the Kanggye Chicken Farm on Dec. 19, Juche 90 (2001) where he indicated an orientation and ways for the management and operation of the modernized chicken farm and instructed its members to increase the production and supply of chicken and eggs to the people.
