12th Reunion of Separated Families, Relatives Begins

    Mt. Kumgang, November 7 (KCNA) -- The 12th reunion of separated families and relatives has begun in Mt. Kumgang resort. According to the previous custom, those from the north side had a collective meeting first with their families and relatives from the south on Nov. 5. At the reunion they warmly hugged each other. Those from the north side told the kindred from the south about their happy life, retrospecting their worthwhile career under the loving care of the DPRK. The families and relatives from the south were deeply moved to hear their stories and see their orders, medals, honorary titles and diplomas and academic degrees and titles.
    Following the collective meeting they met each other again in family units on Nov. 6. They spent a pleasant time, talking to each other about their bygone days and taking meals together.
    Those from the north went round the area of Lagoon Samil, a scenic spot, together families and relatives from the south.
    Meanwhile, the South Korean Red Cross arranged a banquet in honor of all the separated families and relatives from the north and the south.
