Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Observed

    Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House, a main centre for the publication and information service of the WPK, celebrated its diamond jubilee. Founded on Oct. 23, Juche 34 (1945), the publishing house has covered a proud road of victory and glory under the guidance of the party and the leaders. It has played an important role in firmly protecting the party and the leaders ideologically and theoretically and firmly arming all party members and other people with the Juche idea and contributed to consolidating the single-minded unity of the party and the revolutionary ranks and arousing the popular masses to implement the party's line and policies in every period and at every stage of the revolution and construction. It has put main emphasis on the work to edit famous works of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, the great encyclopedia of the revolution and construction in our era, such as "Kim Il Sung's Works", "Completed Collection of Kim Il Sung's Works" and "Kim Jong Il's Selected Works," thus providing the people and servicepersons of the People's Army with guidelines for the revolution and construction and life and struggle.
    It has also successfully written and edited printed matters for the education in the greatness of the three generals of Mt. Paektu, the education in the revolutionary traditions and books explaining the party's policies on a high level of quality and published many periodicals and materials for study, lecture and information service.
    A meeting to mark the day was held Tuesday.
    The Central Committee of the WPK sent a congratulatory message to the reporters, editors and employees on this occasion. The message highly praised them for having reliably defended the outpost of the ideological front of the party with loyalty to the party and revolution and devotion. Ryang Kyong Bok, director and editor-in-chief of the publishing house, in his report called upon its reporters and editors to become energetic agitators of the Songun idea, faithful spokespersons of the Songun politics and admirable buglers of the Songun revolution in hearty response to the WPK's idea of attaching importance to brush and conduct energetic publication and information service powerfully encouraging all the servicepersons and people in their all-out advance of the Songun revolution.
    Present there were Secretary of the WPK Central Committee Choe Thae Bok and officials concerned.
