Chinese President's Successful Visit to DPRK Hailed

Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- Papers here today report that the recent DPRK visit by Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China, marked a special event as it recorded a brilliant chapter in the history of the DPRK-China friendship. Rodong Sinmun in an editorial says that his visit to the DPRK in this significant year which marks the 60th anniversaries of the Workers' Party of Korea and liberation of Korea encouraged its people and it was a manifestation of his firm support and solidarity to them in their efforts to build a great prosperous powerful socialist nation and achieve national reunification.

His visit clearly proved that the traditional DPRK-China friendship has gained in fresh energy and vitality in its development in the new century. This friendship is most genuine and comradely and unbreakable as it is based on the deep historic roots and good tradition.

Socialism is the common ideal of the two peoples and the Korean people's cause of building a great prosperous powerful socialist nation and the Chinese people's cause of socialist modernization drive are winning victory after victory.
Under the leadership of the CPC with Hu Jintao as its general secretary the fraternal Chinese people are making great successes in their vigorous drive to achieve the overall goal to build harmoniously developed socialism and comprehensively well-off society.
The people of the DPRK note with highly appreciation the fact that his visit to the DPRK greatly contributed to boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries forged and developed by their great leaders in line with the desire and interests of the two peoples and giving impetus to defending peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Asia.
