DPRK Orders and Medals Awarded to Chinese

    Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- A ceremony took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Monday to award orders and medals of the DPRK to Chinese comrades who contributed to the construction of the Taean Friendship Glass Factory. Present there were Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Rim Kyong Man, minister of Foreign Trade, Kim Thae Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Il, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Yun Su Ryong, vice-minister of Construction and Building Materials Industries, Ri Ryong Nam, vice-minister of Foreign Trade, and other officials concerned.
    On hand were the members of the Chinese government delegation headed by Wu Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice-premier of the State Council of China, Wu Donghe, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of the Chinese embassy and Chinese technicians who participated in the construction of the factory.
    After a decree of the Presidium of the SPA of the DPRK was read out, Friendship Order First Class was awarded to Wu Yi, Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai, Wu Donghe, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Wu Dawei, Assistant to Minister of Commerce Chen Jian, Chairman of the Yaohua Glass Group Corporation of China and Secretary of its party committee Cao Tianping, General Director of the corporation Teng Fuquan and An Min, vice-minister of Commerce, Friendship Order Second Class to 16 persons and Friendship Medal to 55 persons in recognition of their support to the Korean people in their efforts to build a great prosperous powerful socialist nation and contributions to the building of the factory as a monumental edifice to be recorded in the annals of the DPRK-China friendship.
