Kim Jong Il Receives Chinese Government Delegation

   Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, Saturday received the Chinese government delegation led by Wu Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the C. C., the Communist Party of China and vice-premier of the State Council of China, on a visit to the DPRK. On hand were Kang Sok Ju, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Yang Gon, councilor of the DPRK National Defence Commission, and Wu Donghe, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.
    Wu Yi conveyed to Kim Jong Il a verbal personal message from Hu Jintao, general secretary of the C. C., the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China, and congratulations from the senior officials of the Chinese party and government and a gift from herself. Kim Jong Il thanked for this and asked her to transmit his regards to Hu Jintao and other senior officials of the Chinese party and government. He conversed with Wu Yi in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
    He hosted a dinner in honor of the Chinese guests.
    Present there on invitation were the members of the Chinese government delegation, official diplomats of the Chinese embassy here, Teng Fuquan, general director of the Yaohua Glass Group Corporation of China, and Cao Tianping, chairman of the corporation and secretary of its party committee. Present at the dinner were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the C. C., the WPK, Kang Sok Ju, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Pak Nam Gi, department director of the C. C., the WPK, Kim Yang Gon, councilor of the NDC of the DPRK, Kim Kye Gwan and Kim Yong Il, vice-ministers of Foreign Affairs, and Kim Thae Jong, vice-director of the International Department of the C. C., the WPK.
    The dinner proceeded in an amicable atmosphere.
