Ex-Director General of IAEA on Nuclear Issue in Korea

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- It is important to let the DPRK not feel any need to keep nuclear weapons in settling the nuclear issue, said Hans Blix, former director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, when referring to the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula in a lecture given in Tokyo on Sept. 29, according to a press report. It is better to give the DPRK assurances that there would be no attack on it than to threaten that all options including a military attack are on the table, he added.
