Kim Jong Il's Selected Works Vol. 15 Published

    Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il's Selected Works Vol. 15, which comprehensively deals with his famous works, was brought out by the Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House. It contains 41 works including his letters, talks and the answers given by him to the questions put by foreigners in the period between Jan. Juche 89 (2000) and Dec. Juche 93 (2004).
    The book intensively deals with strategic and tactical policies and profound ideas and theories set out by him in this period, while wisely leading overall affairs of the country. It clarifies tasks and ways of bringing about a revolutionary turn in the Party's activities as required by the new century, issues of fortifying the military position as firm as a rock and establishing the social trait of giving priority to military affairs throughout the society and tasks and ways of developing the economic work of the country.
    Specified in the book are concrete tasks and ways of developing the Juche-oriented culture and arts as required by the Songun era and achieving the independent reunification of Korea by the concerted efforts of the nation. The book explains in detail issues arising in the socio-political life including the issue of intensifying the education in the revolutionary traditions, improving the qualifications of officials and encouraging the people to fulfill their duties as citizens.
    The book will help firmly arm the officials and party members and other working people with the great Songun idea and powerfully encourage them in their efforts to build a great prosperous powerful socialist nation and reunify the country.
