Anniversary of Kim Il Sung's Work Marked

    Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- A national meeting was held at the People's Palace of Culture Friday to mark the 40th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's famous work "To Give Full Play to the Great Vitality of the Unified and Detailed Planning of the National Economy." The President put forth in the work a unique idea and policy on the planning of the socialist economy. Principled issues arising in stepping up the planning are expounded in the work.
    Kim Kwang Rin, chairman of the State Planning Commission, in a report said that the idea and theory on the unified and detailed planning of national economy has made it possible to thoroughly establish Juche in planning the national economy, materialize the monolithic leadership of the party and the leader over the economic development, decisively intensify the state planned guidance, fully tap the creative ingenuity of broad producer masses and thus pave the way for giving full play to the advantages of the socialist economy.
    Saying that the planning of the national economy has been steadily improved under the energetic leadership of Kim Jong Il, he went on:
    Kim Jong Il has clarified the seed of improving the economic management as required by the Songun era and wisely led the officials of economic guidance to thoroughly implement the party's policy of the unified and detailed planning and successfully apply the principles of planned management and operation based on collectivism. The policy of the unified and detailed planning has been successfully implemented in the past, big changes have been made in the socialist economic construction, state centralized guidance over the socialist economy and the mass line have been properly applied and the work of planning the national economy has been converted into that of the producer masses themselves.
    He called on all the officials of economic guidance and planning to solve the economic management problems our own way with the firm confidence in the advantages of the socialist planned economy, steadily improve the planning of the national economy and give fuller play to the might and invincible vitality of the socialist planned economy. The meeting was attended by Pak Pong Ju, Choe Yong Rim, Kwak Pom Gi, Ro Tu Chol and other officials concerned.
