E-Library Nears Completion

    Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Builders are carrying on the construction of an e-library attached to Kim Chaek University of Technology in Pyongyang at the final stage, determined to finish it before the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea. The e-library of a peculiar architectural style has a total floor space of over 17,000 square meters.
    They have ensured both the construction speed and quality, giving priority to the supply of finishing materials.
    A finishing touch is being given to the painting of the main hall and reading rooms and tiling in toilets.
    The installation of book delivery elevators for six reading rooms, the floor space of which is more than 400 square meters, is nearing completion. The project of the air condition control room and sound absorption room and the tiling of stones on the floor of corridors and stairs have been completed. Now painting of rails and pillars is at full swing.
    The laying of pipes for rainwater and sewage and setting of curbstones along 300-m section road have been nearly completed.
    Meanwhile, such trees of good species as maple, zelokova and cryptomeria have been planted around the e-library.
