Collection of Kim Jong Il's Works Published

    Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- "For the National Reunification and the Great National Unity", a collection of leader Kim Jong Il's works, was brought out by the Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House. Contained in the collection are 16 celebrated works on the problem of national reunification, including treatises, letters and talks, he published in the period from July, Juche 61 (1972), to June, Juche 89 (2000).
    In "Let Us Resolutely Struggle to Implement the Three Principles of National Reunification" and other works Kim Jong Il noted that the north and the south agreed upon the three principles of national reunification and promised the whole nation and the world to implement them, thus making it possible for the Korean people to invigorate the movement for national reunification with the clear principles and standard. And he stressed the need to hold fast to the three principles and wage a dynamic struggle in reliance on them.
    Among them are works "The National Reunification Should Be Achieved by the Great Unity of the Nation" and "The Reunification of the Country Should Be Achieved Independently by the Concerted Efforts of Our Nation", which carry the ideas and theories on reunifying the country with great unity of the nation.
    In his work "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification" Kim Jong Il said that the three principles of national reunification, the ten-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding a Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo are the three charters for national reunification advanced by President Kim Il Sung. Basing himself on them, Kim Jong Il clarified the tasks and ways for realizing the cause of national reunification, the supreme desire of the nation.
