Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Mass rallies took place in Jagang and North Hamgyong Provinces and at the Ministry of Railways and a rally was held by servicepersons of the Ministry of People's Security on July 5 and 6 to vow to implement to the letter the joint slogans published by the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the WPK. The reporters and speakers at the rallies said that the joint slogans serve as a militant banner for bringing about a great innovation and brilliant victory in accomplishing the cause of socialism true to the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il, holding fast to the revolutionary idea and immortal revolutionary feats of President Kim Il Sung as eternal treasures of the Korean revolution.
Noting that the WPK earnestly calls upon all the people to turn out in the worthwhile "100-day campaign," they urged all the people to wage a more dynamic drive for effecting a great surge in the Songun revolution, firmly determined to emerge victors in this general march.
They underlined the need to bring about fresh innovations in agriculture, the main front in the socialist economic construction, and such important fields of the national economy as power, coal and metal industries.
They called upon the officials to become men of action who wholeheartedly accept the Party policies and carry them through like the commanding officers of the revolutionary army in this general advance and upon the young people to fully display their honor of being the young vanguard of Songun in every worthwhile socialist construction site as befitting the vanguard and shock force.
They appealed to all the people to achieve great successes as a present to the mother Party with intense loyalty to the Party and the leader and patriotic enthusiasm so as to greet the 60th founding anniversary of the WPK most grandly and significantly.
