President Kim Il Sung Remembered

Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- A remembering meeting of youths and students was held at the education ground in front of the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Museum Tuesday on the 11th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung. The participants first listened to the tape-recorded teachings given by him on the economic affairs of the county on July 6, Juche 83 (1994).
The paean and song "Great Torrent of Yearning" was put on the stage at the meeting. Then the part of the time when he embarked on the revolution, leaving Mangyongdae, the home village, with a firm vow to restore the lost country at any cost from the reminiscences "With the Century" was read before the performance of the story and song "Mangyongdae Fork," the narrative and song "The Generalissimo Is Our Sun" and so on.
The participants heard a significant tale of a spring day in April, Juche 61 (1972) when President Kim Il Sung visited Mangyongdae, accompanied by anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters. Then children of the Mangyongdae Revolutionary School took an oath to be the first standard-bearers in devotedly defending the leader to carry through to accomplishment the revolutionary cause of Juche through generations, true to the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Il.
The meeting closed with the choral poem and song "We Pledge."
Meanwhile, a remembering stage of women's union members "Song of the Eternal Sun Resounding through the Sky of the Songun Country" was spread at the Women's House that day to commemorate the same occasion.
Present at the gatherings were Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, leading officials of working people's organizations, officials concerned, young folks and students and women's union members in Pyongyang.
