Flower Festival Visited by 100,000 People Every Day

    Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- The 7th Kimilsungia Festival is going on successfully after its opening on April 13 to commemorate the Day of the Sun, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. The Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition, the venue of the festival, is visited by over 100,000 people on a daily average, 122,400 on the sixteenth. Now the visitors total 750,000. More than 1,000 of them are foreigners and overseas Koreans. Ri Pyong Pha, a department director of the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, said this in an interview with KCNA.
    The festival venue, decorated with over 10,000 Kimilsungia pots and other kinds of rare flowers, resembles a sea of flowers.
    Looking round the festival, the visitors greatly miss President Kim Il Sung, who enjoys deep reverence from all people, and feel a pride in holding him in high esteem as eternal President of the DPRK.
    Mahmoud Mohamed Osman Atik, military attache of the Egyptian Embassy here, wrote in the visitor's book that the beautiful flower will be everlasting as it is named after Kim Il Sung, who made a great contribution to the Korean revolution and performed an immortal exploit for world peace.
    The flower festival will continue until April 22.
