Foreign Ministry Spokesman Refutes U.S. Report on Human Rights

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave an answer to a question raised by KCNA Saturday in which it accused the United States of groundlessly pulling up the DPRK over the "human rights issue". He says:
The U.S. State Department in an annual report on human rights on Feb. 28 again said this or that about human rights performances in more than 100 countries including the DPRK.
The U.S. ballyhoo about human rights practices every year does not deserve even a passing note. This can be made only by the Bush group, a mastermind of swindling and deception.
The DPRK does neither pay heed to it nor listen to it. It is nothing surprising for the Bush administration to utter such words as it has inveterate enmity toward the system in the DPRK.
It is, therefore, not interested at all in dealing with Washington.
