Kim Jong Il Gives Field Guidance to New Ceramic Factory

Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, gave field guidance to the newly built ceramic factory in a trial operation.
All the production processes of the factory based on modern science and technology are computerized.
The construction of the factory with a huge production capacity will make it possible to supply a greater quantity of quality ceramic ware to people.
He learned in detail about the construction of the factory and its production performance, going round various production processes including the combined control panel and the melting kiln for a long while.
He highly praised the party members and other working people of the factory, noting it is great success that they have built a new factory as required by the new century in a matter of a few years with a single desire to build a rich and powerful country and ensured a high level of cultured practice in production and life.
He set forth important tasks which would serve as guidelines in the management and operation of the factory, saying that the factory has a big role to play in improving the people's material and cultural life.
In order to increase the production of ceramic ware and supply it to the people it is necessary to give fullest possible play to its production capacity and, at the same time, replenish new processes and steadily apply modern science and technology, he stressed.
He underscored the need to pay special attention to the management of equipment and technical control, steadily raise the level of technical skill of its workers and technicians and conduct a widespread mass technical innovation movement so that the people's wisdom and talent may be reflected in each product.
He also called for paying deep attention to the scientific economic management.
He underlined the need for the officials guiding economy to work out correct economic and business strategies and take initiative and display creative ingenuity and activeness to strictly abide by the WPK's principle of profitability which makes it possible to gain greatest profits while firmly adhering to the socialist principle.
Noting that it is very good for the factory to have built modern entertainment and service facilities and made a good use of them following the lifestyle of the army, he called on the working class to take the lead in introducing the culture created by the servicepersons in the Songun era.
He urged the party organizations to pay primary attention to the supply service in order to provide the working class intensely loyal to the Party and the revolution with ample conditions for their living.
He expressed expectation and conviction that the party members and other working people of the factory would bring about a signal surge in production to positively contribute to improving the standard of the people's living.
He was accompanied by Secretaries of the WPK Central Committee Kim Kuk Thae, Kim Ki Nam and Pak Nam Gi and First Vice Department Director of the WPK Central Committee Ju Kyu Chang.
