Winter Kimchi Prepared in Korea

Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- November is a season of preparing kimchi for winter in Korea.
Kimchi has been favorite food of the Korean people since ancient times.
Kimchi is made in an industrial way in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. But most of the families still like to make it by themselves.
Nowadays lorries loaded with vegetables are seen everywhere in streets and villages.
Women are sharing their experience in making tasty kimchi and neighbors helping each other in pickling vegetables and preparing spices.
There are many kinds of kimchi. Typical of them are thong-kimchi made of whole cabbages, kkaktugi (radish kimchi heavily spiced with pepper and garlic), sokbak-kimchi (sliced cabbages and radishes seasoned with spices) and tongchimi (radishes pickled in salt water).
