DPRK Cabinet Arranges Friendly Gathering

Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Cabinet arranged a friendly gathering at the People's Palace of Culture on Monday evening in connection with the successful close of the 9th Pyongyang Film Festival.
Present on invitation were foreign delegations and delegates and a delegation of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan which had participated in the festival.
Present there were Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier of the DPRK Cabinet, Choe Ik Gyu, minister of Culture, Kim Jong Ho, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of the Unions of Literature and the Arts of Korea who is chairman of the organizing committee of the festival, Jo Chan Gu, vice-minister of Culture, Hong Son Ok, vice-chairperson of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, officials concerned and moviemen.
Speeches were made there.
The participants talked about successes and experience gained in producing progressive films reflecting the worthwhile life of the people and their efforts to build a new society and about the festival, deepening the friendship.
