Kim Ki Nam Meets Chinese Party Delegation

Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, met and had a talk with the visiting delegation of officials of the Communist Party of China led by Wang Weihua, deputy director of the Party History Research Centre of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Thursday.
The head of the delegation said that he sincerely rejoiced over the achievements made by the Korean people in the revolution and construction by overcoming difficulties in the spirit of self-reliance and fortitude under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
Noting that the Sino-Korean friendship provided by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries has great vitality, he added that this is a precious treasure cherished by the two peoples deep in their hearts.
The new collective leadership of China with Hu Jintao as general secretary sets great store by the Sino-Korean friendship, he said, stressing that the CPC would join the Korean comrades in their every effort to steadily boost the Sino-Korean friendly ties.
He sincerely wished the Korean people greater success in their work to build a great prosperous powerful nation, develop its external relations and achieve the independent reunification of the country under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
