Construction of Ryongchon Progresses Apace

    Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- The construction of the Ryongchon area has progressed apace in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea after a train explosion at Ryongchon Railway Station in April this year. The construction of 1,650 dwelling houses and about 30 public buildings is near completion.
    The finishing touch is being given to the repair of 5,500 dwelling houses and 40 public buildings and the construction of water supply and sewage facilities and roads.
    Such projects as roofing, plastering, fixing fixtures including windows and painting walls of dwelling houses, a primary school, college and dormitory, kindergarten, nursery and public catering and service facilities are going on successfully.
    The projects are followed by the construction of a water tower and a pumping station and expansion of the water reservoir.
    The Ryongchon area is changing its looks beyond recognition with each passing day thanks to nationwide assistance.
