Rodong Sinmun Calls for Implementing Kim Il Sung's Last Instructions to Letter

    Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung's work "On Bringing about a New Revolutionary Turn in the Socialist Economic Construction" is an immortal work which proves his personality as a peerlessly great man as he devoted all his wisdom and energies to the country's prosperity and the people's happiness till the last moments of his life, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a signed article. In the work the President clarified all the principled matters arising in socialist economic construction including the issues of consolidating the foundation of the independent national economy, radically improving the standard of the people's living and increasing the responsibility and role of officials and specific ways to settle them, the article notes, and continues:
    The army and people of the DPRK always remember the President and harden their determination to realize his intention and desire to the last as he worked hard to bring a bright future of a rich and powerful country till the last moments of his great life in July Juche 83 (1994).
    The noble intention and cause of the President for the country's prosperity and the people's happiness have been successfully carried forward by leader Kim Jong Il and are becoming a brilliant reality in this land.
    It is his unshakable will to make the country more prosperous as it is associated with the whole life of the President. It was none other than Kim Jong Il who encouraged the army and people to overcome the deep grief and work hard as soldiers and disciples of the President and ushered in a new era of creation and turn in this land despite indescribable hardships through his endless journey for field guidance.
    The wise leadership he provided to bring about a high watermark of the country's prosperity lies in that in the days of the most rigorous trials he unrolled a far-sighted plan and goal to build a great prosperous powerful socialist nation and aroused all the people to attain it. It also finds its expression in that he dynamically accelerated the revolutionary onward movement in the new century in the revolutionary soldier spirit.
    The high-pitched revolutionary offensive is now underway on all fronts building a great prosperous powerful nation and strong state economic power is being built as required by the Songun era thanks to the leadership Kim Jong Il is providing for the country's great prosperity, true to the intention and last instructions of the President.
