Kimjongilia Show Opens

Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- A Kimjongilia show opened with splendor here on June 17 to celebrate June 19, the 40th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Present there were Pak Pong Ju, Choe Thae Bok, Yang Hyong Sop, Jong Ha Chol, Kwak Pom Gi and other functionaries concerned, senior officials of commissions and ministries of the cabinet, national institutions and bodies of armed forces, officials of the units participating in the show and working people in the city.
Kang Nung Su, chairman of the Korean Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, in his opening address said the show is a significant grand political festival displaying the revolutionary faith and will of the army and people of the DPRK to add shine to the immortal revolutionary exploits performed by Kim Jong Il in developing the WPK as the glorious party of President Kim Il Sung and effecting epochal changes in all fields of the revolution and construction and devotedly defend the headquarters of the revolution and march thousands of ri along the road of Songun revolution to the end in any storm.
That Kim Jong Il began his work at the WPK Central Committee, the supreme headquarters of the Korean revolution, with the unshakable will to carry the revolutionary cause of the President to accomplishment was a historic event of decisive significance in strengthening the party and fulfilling the revolutionary cause of Juche, he stressed.
The participants looked round the hall of the show.
On display there were more than 15,000 pots of Kimjongilia brought into bloom with all sincerity by over 70 ministries, national institutions and bodies of armed forces, and People's Army soldiers and working people.
