U.S. Accusations against DPRK over "Issue of Terrorism" Denounced

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry in an answer to the question put by KCNA Sunday denounced the United States for putting again the DPRK, the world recognized anti-terrorist state, on the list of "terrorist nations" in a foolish bid to impair its image, persistently pursuing the hostile policy towards it. The U.S. Department of State in its "annual report on terrorism in 2003" made public on April 29 listed the DPRK and some other countries as "sponsors of terrorism" for their strong opposition to the U.S. policy of aggression and terrorism.
    The spokesman said:
It is preposterous for the U.S. to cite the DPRK as a "sponsor of terrorism" in the report raising again the "issue of abducted Japanese." This once again, convinces us that the hostile policy of the Bush administration towards the DPRK remains unchanged and can never alter.
The "abduction issue," which the U.S. is talking about as a new "subject for discussion about terrorism," is an issue between the DPRK and Japan and it had already been solved through the publication of the DPRK-Japan Pyongyang Declaration. It is, therefore, none of its business.
Noting that the DPRK does not care whether the U.S. lists the former as a "sponsor of terrorism" or not, the spokesman clarified the DPRK's principled stand of opposing all forms of terrorism and any support to it.
The U.S. had better properly face up to the reality and drop its anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK.
