North Korean Military Celebrates Anniversary

North Korea's military is celebrating the 72nd anniversary of the People's Army, even as foreign relief organizations rush aid to the scene of a devastating train explosion in the western part of the country.
The North's official Korean Central News Agency said Sunday that "merry dances" were held to the tune of songs praising North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il at an "evening gala" in the capital, Pyongyang.
The news agency said, that senior officers of the armed forces joined the "soldiers in dancing, adding to the festive mood."
The report made no mention of the train accident in Ryongchon that killed at least 161 people injured 1,300.
