Floral Baskets Laid before Kim Il Sung's Statues

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung standing across the country today on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
People from all walks of life, servicepersons, youth and students in the capital city mounted Mansu Hill with ardent longing for and boundless reverence for the President.
Seen before the statue on the hill was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.
Amid the playing of the floral basket-laying music, floral baskets in the name of the party, military and power organs, public organizations, ministries, national institutions, KPA units, scientific, educational, cultural, art, public health and press institutions, factories, farms, schools and others and bunches of flowers and flowers were laid before the statue.
Also placed there were floral baskets in the name of the unconverted long-term prisoners who are indomitable pro-reunification patriots and the Pyongyang Mission of the National Democratic Front of South Korea.
They paid tribute to the President in humble reverence, who performed the great exploits which will shine forever in the annals of the country and the history of the struggle for human emancipation.
Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Wu Donghe and embassy officials laid a floral basket before the statue of the President.
A delegation of Koreans in Japan, delegations of overseas Koreans and other overseas Koreans, delegations of Juche idea study organizations of Japan, a cultural delegate of Cambodia and participants in the 22nd April Spring Friendship Art Festival laid floral baskets before the statue.
Floral baskets were also laid before the statues of the President standing at Kim Il Sung University, Kim Il Sung Military University, the Ministry of People's Security, the Korean Film Studio, the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace and other places of Pyongyang.
People, servicepersons, youth and students from across the country visited the statues of the President standing in their residential quarters and laid floral baskets, bunches of flowers and flowers before the statues.
Meanwhile, staff members of the Consulate Generals of China and Russia in Chongjin and delegations of Northeast area of China also visited the statue of the President standing in Chongjin and laid floral baskets and bunches of flowers before the statue.
Delegations of Dandong City of China laid floral baskets and bunches of flowers before the statue of the President in Sinuiju.
