Tribute Paid to Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Senior officials of the Party, the state and the army, chairpersons of the friendly parties, members of the Cabinet and leading officials of the party and military organs and working people's organizations, servicepersons and people from all walks of life today visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace on the occasion of the Day of the Sun to pay homage to President Kim Il Sung.
Amid the solemn playing of the immortal revolutionary paean "Song of General Kim Il Sung" a floral basket was laid before the statue of Kim Il Sung in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
Senior officials of the Party, the state and the army paid noble homage to him, looking up to his statue.
In the hall where he lies in state, they made a bow in most humble reverence for him.
They went round orders and medals and certificates of honorary titles he was awarded from the DPRK and different countries, his portrait with a sunny smile on his face and bronze relievoes at the Mourning Hall and a train coach he used during his on-site guidance and foreign tour and a car he used in the last period of his life.
Also visiting were the chief of the Pyongyang Mission of the National Democratic Front of South Korea, a delegation of Koreans in Japan, delegations of overseas Koreans and other overseas Koreans on a visit to the socialist homeland.
Meanwhile, the foreign diplomatic corps and the military attaches corps here and Vishwanath, director general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea (IIJI), and his party, a delegation of the Secretariat of the IIJI led by Deputy Secretary General Sakae Araki and delegations of Juche idea study organizations of different countries on a visit to the DPRK visited the palace to pay homage to the President.
On the same day foreign delegations participating in the 6th Kimilsungia Festival, a delegation of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and a delegation of the Russia's Federation of Independent Trade Unions visited the palace to pay homage to Kim Il Sung.
