Banquet Given by DPRK Government

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- The government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea gave a banquet at Pyongyang Koryo Hotel on Wednesday on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
Present on invitation were Vishwanath, director general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea (IIJI), and his party, a delegation of the Secretariat of the IIJI led by Deputy Secretary General Sakae Araki and delegations of Juche idea study organizations on a visit to the DPRK.
Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and chairman of the Korean Social Scientists Society, in a speech said that the Korean people highly praised the Juche idea followers for fulfilling the noble responsibility they assumed for the era and humankind, remaining true to the faith of Juche despite all the moves of the reactionaries to turn back the orbit of independence.
He expressed the expectation that the Juche idea followers would conduct more effective activities for studying and disseminating the Juche idea as required by the new century and make tangible contributions to the struggle of the world people to build an independent, peaceful and prosperous new world free from aggression, war, domination and subjugation.
Vishwanath in a speech said President Kim Il Sung was the greatest man who performed the immortal feats for the human cause of independence with his outstanding idea and theories and dynamic revolutionary practices and the greatest statesman and leader recognized by the whole world.
It is a great fortune for the world progressive people, the Juche idea followers, in particular, to hold Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the great leader, he said, reiterating their resolution to conduct positive activities for disseminating the Juche idea and the Songun idea, its embodiment, greatly proud and confident of this, and thus successfully discharge the mission they have assumed before the era and humankind.
