Kim Jong Il Meets Chinese Foreign Minister

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, Wednesday received Li Zhaoxing, foreign minister of the People's Republic of China (PRC), and his party on a visit to the DPRK.
Present there were Kang Sok Ju, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and Wu Donghe, Chinese ambassador e.p. to the DPRK.
Li conveyed warm greetings of Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the PRC, and other senior Party and state officials of China to Kim Jong Il before presenting him with a gift prepared by himself.
Kim Jong Il expressed thanks for this and asked Li to convey his regards to Hu and senior Chinese party and state officials. Then he conversed with Li in a warm atmosphere.
