U.S., Wrecker of Peace
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK
Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- The United States has persistently resorted to the policy of war, refusing to lend an ear to the world progressive people's voices calling for peace and stability.
For example, the six-party talks held in Beijing some time ago bore no positive result with the United States persistently insisting on the DPRK's "abandoning the nuclear activities first".
The United States plans to hold reception, staging, onward movement and integration (RSOI) exercises and Foal Eagle maneuvers with south Korea from March 22.
All the facts clearly indicate once again that the true colors of the U.S. imperialists as wreckers of peace will always remain unchanged.
The United States, with aggression and war as the mode of existence, has ignited a lot of aggression wars including the Korean War since World War II, destroying the peace and stability of the world and plunging humankind into extreme uneasiness and fear.
With the cold war dead, the United States has become all the more arrogant and unhesitatingly resorted to armed intervention and war, groundlessly terming independent nations and those out of favor with it parts of the "axis of evil" and "sponsors of terrorism".
It is the United States that saw the 20th century out with a war of aggression and saw the 21st century in with an invasion of Iraq, trampling down humankind's desire to live in a peaceful world free from war.
The U.S. imperialists are keeping thousands of military bases and installations in some 140 countries and regions including south Korea and staging various kinds of large-scale military maneuvers in different parts of the world to constantly threatening and wrecking the peace and stability of the world.
It is the common view of the world's peaceloving people that genuine peace can never be expected to settle in the world as long as the U.S. imperialists exist on the globe.
They are still rendering the situation around the Korean peninsula extremely strained, while intensifying the moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK.
The Korean people, who consider independence to be their life and soul, are keeping a close eye on the U.S. moves, while further strengthening the self-defence nuclear deterrent to cope with them.
