Kimchi pickle, effective cure for skin aging
KCNA
Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- Kimchi pickle, widely known Koreans' all-season staple food, has proved effective in resisting skin aging and preventing skin from being injured by ultraviolet rays.
Experiments show that the skin of a rat that has eaten Kimchi for 140 days is far thicker than that of an ordinary one.
It has also been found that the corneous layer of the former's cell is thin and dense in comparison with the latter's.
The ultraviolet rays caused combustion in the former's skin cells far less than in the latter's.
The ingredients of Kimchi pickle are cabbage, radish and other vegetables plus red pepper, garlic, fruit and salted fish.
