Nation urged to implement WPK's calls

KCNA

Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- "Let us achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country, upholding the three charters for national reunification", a call made by the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea is a realistic and just one as it represents the requirements of the times and the nation's strong desire and wish for independent reunification, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article. It goes on:
The three charters for national reunification serve as a bright beacon indicating the way of achieving the country's reunification most fairly at the earliest possible date as required by the Korean nation and in its interests and a powerful weapon that fully guarantees its victory.
The charters represent a Juche-oriented programme for reunification as they are consistent with the spirit of national independence which regards the sovereignty and the dignity of the nation as its life and soul and are based on noble patriotism.
The charters serve as a Korean-style programme for reunification as they indicate the way of solving the issue of national reunification most smoothly and reasonably on the basis of the Juche idea.
The June 15 North-South Joint Declaration held aloft by the Korean nation is an embodiment of the three charters and its shining fruition. "by our nation itself", the main spirit of the declaration, is an embodiment of the three principles of national reunification which call for reunifying the country on the principle of national independence. All the articles of the declaration are consistent with the idea of the charters.
All the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad will certainly bring about a decisive turn in accomplishing the cause of national reunification this year by upholding the call representing the nation's patriotic stand and will and waging a vigorous struggle to implement it, the article concludes.
